Burning is a Thrash Speed Metal band founded in 2007 in the city of

Bogota, capital of Colombia. In its beginnings it began as a Heavy Metal band,

influenced by the more traditional sounds of the NWOBHM, mainly with bands like

Running Wild, Judas Priest or Virtue.

Since its founding, Burning has had a large number of members, each of them with

influences that were reflected both in the sound and in the concept and ideology of the

band. This is why from the year 2010 the alignment of the moment decides to reform

the orientation of the band, adopting a darker theme, with lyrics openly

anti-religious, and turning its sound into a raw Thrash Metal, with elements of

Speed Metal and Black Metal of the first wave (80s), the Colombian Ultrametal of the

eighties, and the South American Metal scene in general; with the passing of time the band continued

with the changes in his musical, lyrical style and in the direction, retaking sounds from

the Classic Heavy Metal and Speed Metal, and turning their lyrics to other themes such

as cinema (Sci-Fi and CyberPunk), Literature (Horror, Occultism)

and the vindication of the most rigorous values

of metal, as a lifestyle and counterculture aimed at attacking established governments,

the religion and the idolatry of false idols as a way of alienating the human and his potential.
